1.27. I can’t play videos in VLC media player#

Warning

Using TIER IV automotive camera (C1/C2/C3) with VLC is not recommended. We strongly recommend you to consider using v4l2, ROS or Gstreamer.

Even if you can available the video from TIER IV automotive camera using Gstreamer or v4l2(v4l2-ctl commands), you may not be able to play the video when trying to play it using VLC media player.

This may caused by the VLC media player does not properly use the TIER IV camera driver from the NVIDIA camera architecture stack.

By stopping the nvargus-daemon with the following command and then starting VLC media player, the TIER IV camera driver may be used properly.

sudo systemctl stop nvargus-daemon.service
